Bancroft employs an extensive and experienced CAD & Co-ordination Team to support our Design Development and front-line Engineering and Management Teams.

Our CAD & Co-ordination specialists carry out spatial co-ordination between M & E Services and other trade packages. They are allocated to specific Projects under the supervision of the Senior Site Manager responsible for the Project. This ensures a full understanding of the overall objectives, and their integration into the Project Management Team.

The CAD & Co-ordination Team is equipped with the latest software packages which includes Autocad MEP, Fabrication, Autodesk Revit along with Asta Power Project for our planning and programming. For Site Surveys we use 3D Point Cloud Laser Scanners, this enables us to accurately record the data required to produce reliable Drawings. When working on site, Team Members are linked electronically to our Head Office for additional resource support and connection to our Head Office equipment. We are constantly training and developing our model to comply with BIM, the requirements of which will vary from Project to Project.

The CAD Operator involved in the initial co-ordination of the Project is also responsible for periodically updating the drawings as changes occur throughout the course of the contract. They also prepare the Record Drawings, which are issued on completion of each Project as part of the final Project record documentation.
Bancroft employs an in house design department comprising of professional design engineering staff who are responsible for the design development of a Design and Build tender, design assistance to the professional consulting engineer and the Contractors Design portion (CDP) to each Project.

Our Design Team are fully versed in all current regulations CIBSE guidelines and utilised most up to date software for design calculations, which includes Hevacomp, Pro Design and Dialux systems.

Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Continuous development is one of the tenets of Bancroft’s design philosophy, demonstrated by our investment several years ago in a 3D point cloud scanner to enhance the 3D coordination process implemented a decade before.

The emergence of Building Information Modelling – BIM has emphasised the need for active collaboration between all project team members to provide an accurate model incorporating information requirements agreed with the Client and their maintenance provider

Bancroft utilise the latest CAD and collaboration software, including Revit, Fabrication, NavisWorks, A360, and have successfully completed several BIM projects for clients including a leading Risk Management and Insurance company, a telecoms provider and have recently commenced a project with a Government Department.
